This post has been long overdue, apologies for what may have appeared as a hiatus for a long awaited update! This was shot back in Van but I promise you, the following posts will be some outfits I shot while in Europe. I'm currently in Dresden, Germany - my boyfriend's hometown and honestly up until two days ago was the first I've touched my laptop in about two weeks. I tend to neglect the majority of my technologic devices when traveling because I'd rather be out and about, plus who wants to sit around staring at a screen for hours when there is plenty to do outside! (Unless it's Instagram because let's be real here, I'm a bit of an addict.)  In this case being here in Dresden, I mean go meet up with friends and hang out at a street corner and consume beer that's cheaper than water.....it's true Germany is rather inexpensive in the alcoholic beverage department.

As for this outfit, I think we can all agree that a good leather jacket is a primary staple to have in anyone's closet. Also I'd say this is a rather casual, every day ensemble that I tend to wear. My two go-tos are always a good crop top and shorts no matter what season it is! Not to mention I am a huge fan of anything DIY. Most of the time my DIYs are trial and error and with these particular cut offs they were a bit of a fail but I suppose making mistakes and just going along with the process without any set plan are half the fun of the DIY ethic. Also these killer shades have become a favourite of mine that I tend to wear frequently, as I like to refer to them as my John Lennon on acid glasses. (Right? Right?) In short I'll leave you with this:

Hi all or rather Bonjour,

I'm currently in Paris, France and it feels amazing to be back in this beautiful city and being able to spend the next few weeks with my sister and cousin. This outfit is rather Cali-esque and I don't look the most classy but let me just say it is sweltering over here! I was a bit skeptical on what to pack for Paris because apparently up until we had arrived it was mostly cloudy and raining all the time but we definitely lucked out on this lovely weather. I'm always amazed by this city's pulchritude and the best it has to offer. Honestly, I cannot even begin to express my jubilance on returning to one of my favourite places in the world. Its beauty is so overwhelming, I want to cry. Haha. It's my fourth day here and I've been nothing but productive and immersing myself completely in the French culture. I'm surprised the jet leg hasn't caught up to me yet! So far, I've drank cheap French wine, eaten a handful of croissants, went out dancing with my two lovelies, needless to say was absolutely hysterical and nothing short of amusing, visited Le Musee d'Orsay and saw some Impressionist art - Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec to name a few, walked along La Seine, saw this Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi exhibition where he made a large body of work consisting of dagguerotypes on water as well as had some exquisite gelato, visited Le Centre Pompidou, which is the modern art museum and saw the Roy Lichtenstein and Simon Hantai exhibitions, walked around and got lost in the Marais area and carelessly got day drunk with my cousin while trying to find our way back to the hotel. All in all, Paris is nothing but sheer magic and every day spent here is an unexpected adventure.

A quick update of my trip so far:

Some views from Le Centre Pompidou.

The jellyfish looking structure, was an engaging experience for the viewer where the thin material was filled with different spices. // One of the paintings from the Roy Lichtenstein exhibition.

A sneak peek at some of the fascinating installations at Le Centre Pompidou, the one on the left consists of a bunch of French words and phrases in neon lights and the one on the right are all tinfoil sculptures of woman praying.

Lovely view from walking along La Seine // graffiti near our hotel.

Some of my purchases today all for pretty darn cheap from vendors outside of Le Centre Pompidou and vintage shops in the Marais district.

p.s I am definitely going to try and blog while I'm here so stay tuned! Also, follow my Instagram for more updates!

Hello lovely souls,
WELCOME TO THIS HYSTERIA! I am so stoked to finally launch this blog as it's taken me eons to get this shit started. Let me just say, I worked really hard on the layout and am super proud of my contact and subscribe buttons because who doesn't love burritos and tacos?! Also, I am not the most HTML savvy person ever so holyjesus it took me a while to get it right. Anyways, a little bit about my first look. I shot this a couple weeks ago when the sunshine actually decided to show its face here in Vancouver since as of late, the weather has recurred to its renown gloomy state. This outfit is fundamentally based on my love for mismatching vibrant colours and patterns. But if we're being real here, it's mostly because I'm frequently in a rush and 95% of my wardrobe consists of an array of shorts, cut up shirts and crop tops and who has time to really think shit through when you can just wear different versions of the same outfit?! This particular top I am quite fond of since initially it was a long sleeved shirt that stood at an awkward length so I cut it up. Plus, crop tops are definitely one of my number one summer staples....actually an essential all year 'round because I fancy them too much and don't have a good enough reason to justify my statement right now. OKAY.

Not to get overly sentimental here but this blog is perhaps a sort of new 'beginning,' 'milestone,' whatever noun that describes a moment in time where one feels is significant since, I've been wanting to create this for ages and it's all  happening. But really, it just took an uncertain amount of motivation to withdraw myself from my dear friends, indolence and procrastination and putting thoughts into action. Additionally, when this was taken I had just re-dyed my hair and gotten my nose pierced (I'm sorry mum) and for some bizarre reason, I always feel as if I'm experiencing some sort of transformation even if its (seemingly minor) like adding some new metal or colouring my tresses because I'm lame like that guyzzzz. I'm not entirely sure where this adventure of blogging will take me or how it will develop over time but I am quite ecstatic about this new project! Apologies in advance, I am much more familiar being the one behind the lens rather than in front of it as I am still trying to get comfortable 'posing' in front of the camera because c'mon now, it is awkward as hell! The image with my tongue sticking out, you will grow to find that it is one of my three default faces when I don't know what else to do. So please feel free to follow, leave a comment, and come say hi!
